On May 7, 2003, Cavern gave permission for shows to be hosted at the Archive:
Hey. This is Shain, booking agent for Cavern, a brand new
improvisational band from Toronto, Canada. I'd appreciate it if you
could throw us up on the archive as we allow taping at all our shows,
as long as the venue is cool with it and our shows aren't sold.
Thanks in advance and take care-

Official Taping/Trading Policy
We do allow audio and video taping of some performances, as well as photographs. We don't set up a taper section. If the venue does not permit taping, we will comply with their wishes. If you attend a show you should be prepared for the possibility that you will not be able to bring in your recorder. Board patches may be given out, on a first come, first serve basis, though audience recordings are preferred, for quality's sake. If you do tape, we are concerned that your taping and photography does not interfere with other audience members in any way (this means microphones stands and video cameras blocking someone's view or just causing a scene, or photographers pushing to the front of the stage). Some venues are more compatible to the physical set up of microphones than others. The specific situation will decide the outcome. We do encourage fans to trade live recordings, by all means, whether in person, via snail mail, or the internet. However, the music is for the people, and, therefore, we do not allow live recordings to be sold for any profit.
